Who to take at 24

Go for Gaping need or take the BPA on another ailing need

It is hard to say either of the 2 backs will last to 24 with the Jets Fins and perhaps the Jags with also long term holes at RB. If nether Harris or Ettintie are there at 24 the team could trade down to the bottom of round 1 and take the best OT that they would likely want to start from day 1 at LT, there are several good candidates Tevin Jenkins at Oklahoma ST primary played RT is a physical OT that would bring the toughness the line has lacked in the past 3 years on the blind side, however before Banner was signed to a 4 year deal Tomlin stated " I have big plans for you now he's kept it quiet if it is move back to LT which Banner played at USC, however he fell to the 4th round due poor conditioning which is why for a bit he bounced around and when picked up by Steelers he was fined several times for failing to be at at Certain weight, I believe 350 for the 6"8 mammoth OT as he was over 370 when picked up by the Steelers. from the looks and last reports he was around 350. If you flip Banner to LT Jenkins adds the nastiness to establish s power run game that will bring the old grind element this team has lacked since Bell sat out and thee decline of the 2 departed OL men now.

Another OL that should strongly be considered at 24 if no RB is available is Michigan Jason May field, who has played both sides at UM as well been the only OT to not b abused in the big 10 by Chase Young, Mayfield brings in good agility size toughness and can play either side from day 1. He strongly should be considered if from the SR Bowl there has been several including Mayfield and other OL whose stock has risen from anywhere in round 2 range to possible round 1 status that includes both Mayfield and Jenkins.

IF you cant get either RB re build the OL with either OT Jenkins i slightly rank him over Mayfield despite Mayfield having started on both sides , I think Jenkins can make the flip but he has all the traits to establish a mean downhill run game, grit, nastiness, desire to punish the DL and that is what the OL needs the most. and there will be 2 great backs to choose from in round 2 in Javonte Williams and Trey sermon.
